Foolhardy

Foolhardy is a two-woman company owned by Serena Obhrai and Sarah Evans. They write, direct, produce and act.

“The company originally started for us to share ideas and bounce off each other to create bigger works that interested and challenged us both. Since starting to work together, our ideas have grown and have successfully created enough interest to keep us occupied for the near future. Our long-term plans are to continue to create work that inspires and challenges.

We’d love to hear from you should you wish to work with us or collaborate on any projects.”

The first show we produced was ‘Misfit Madness’ which I wrote, directed and starred in alongside Darren Stoneham and only showed for three days in London during May 2008. The show was based on an online friendship formed by two friends, who both attend a flashmob and later find out that they actually know each other online and have done for quite a few years. A live silent disco flashmob occurred on stage and I was happy to see many people taking part.

The second show was ‘Liink and Zellda: The Misadventure’ which I also wrote, directed and starred in. This show was based on the adventures of Link, Zelda, Mario and Peach (plus a few other commonly known characters) and the daily quests they have to go through outside of the ‘game’. Little do they know, they’re always in the game. We were lucky enough to showcase this production five times in London and a further seven times in Canada at the Edmonton Fringe Festival during August 2008.
